Amazon nun mit Kindle Fire auch in Europa

Amazon bietet in D und UK nun auch den Kindle Fire (HD) an
Whow, es ist tatsächlich soweit: den Kindle Fire kann man nun auch ganz einfach bei Amazon in Europa (DE, UK zumindest) bestellen. Den Ankündigungen zufolge (s. The Verge) scheint der 7-Zoll Kindle HD ein interessantes Gerät zu sein, gepaart mit dem Medienangebot von Amazon; leider rechnet Amazon, anders als The Verge titelte (»Kindle Fire and Fire HD 7 coming to Europe, prices start at €159 / £129«), US Dollar noch immer 1:1 in EUR um — 199 Euro werden für die 16 GB-Version des 7-Zoll-Gerätes aufgerufen (was nach aktuellem Kurs den 159 Pfund entspricht, die Amazon.co.uk verlangt).
